A field rainfall network designed from flood-prone sites
Summary
We review flood history together with existing station locations to choose installation sites, and build an operating plan from device installation through status checks. You can start in one zone and widen observation points and integration scope in stages.

Deployment procedure
- 01
Review the target zone
Flood history, low-lying/underpass/semi-basement-dense zones and existing public station locations are reviewed together.
Institution · WOOZZA
- 02
Select candidate sites
Candidate sites are compared on sunlight, communication, mounting structure, wind effect and accessibility.
WOOZZA
- 03
Confirm installation & integration
The device is installed, communication, power and initial observations are confirmed, and it is registered on the monitoring screen.
WOOZZA · installation partner
- 04
Operate & maintain
Remote status checks, regular cleaning/calibration and fault-response procedures are run.
WOOZZA
- 05

Network resolution, compared
The same map of Seoul, overlaid with the grid of the public weather network and the WOOZZA network. The finer the grid, the less rainfall difference is lost at the scale of an alley or an underpass.
- Public weather network
- ~12 km
- WOOZZA network
- 1 km
