WOOZZA connects the city’s rain data to real-world response

Summary

WOOZZA designs and manufactures its own smart rain gauges that observe rain across the city, and builds a platform that connects observation data through flood risk analysis to monitoring and alerts. We continue urban flood-response pilots together with local governments and public agencies, energy and infrastructure companies, and research institutes.

Vision and mission

Vision

So every city can respond to local downpours first.

Mission

We observe rainfall densely in the field and connect flood risk to action by people and facilities.

Slogan

Read the Rain. Protect What Matters.

From the cheugugi to the smart rain gauge

In 1441, the cheugugi was invented to measure rainfall against a consistent standard. WOOZZA aims to carry that intent into today’s cities. Placing consistently calibrated observation points densely across a city lets us see, ahead of time, how risk differs by place within the same storm.

We build urban safety infrastructure that closes observation blind spots and brings response time forward. Our long-term goal is to take what we validate in one city to many more cities, until every city has an observation network that can read its own rain.
